Everyone in Tysons is getting excited about The Boro, which is slated to open next year within walking distance of the Greensboro Metro station. The 1.5-acre development will consist of over 15,000 residential units, almost 2 million square feet of office space, 350,000 square feet of retail space, 250,000 square feet of hotel space, a Whole Foods and a movie theatre.
Prepare to get even more excited because the developer The Meridian Group recently revealed which new restaurants will be occupying some of the 250,000 square feet of retail space.
Restaurants for everyone in Tysons
For those who love Italian food, North Italia will be taking 6,200 square feet on Boro Place. This is the full-service chain’s first location in Northern Virginia. Other locations are opening soon in Restos and the District. If you want to try out their made-from-scratch pasta and pizza beforehand, you’ll have to visit one of their locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas City, Nevada or Texas.
If you’re vegetarian, paleo or gluten-free, you’ll want to check out Flower Child. This restaurant has everything from wraps and bowls to kombucha and organic beer and wine. It’s food that will make you feel good whether you dine in or order your meal to-go.
With a more casual vibe, Fish Taco is leasing 3,400 square feet. While they specialize in seafood tacos, they have something for everybody, including street tacos, rice bowls and, of course, margaritas.
Sandwich lovers will want to stop into Taylor Gourmet, which serves up delicious made-from-scratch sandwiches and salads. They have several locations in the Washington Area if you want to check them out before the Boro opening.
Tasty Kabob is making the jump to brick-and-mortar by leasing out over 2,000 square feet of space on Boro Place. They serve halal foods. Don’t worry if you’re one of their lunchtime customers outside of Tysons, though. Their food truck will still operate.
