It’s an exciting time to live in and around Tysons, Virginia. The Northern Virginia area is growing faster than ever, with new opportunities for people to live and work in an up-and-coming city. In 2018, we saw Tysons Corner celebrate its 50th anniversary. The new expansions and developments from major retailers that were announced in 2018 only made us more proud to live and work here. Finally, people around the country are recognizing what we already know about what a great community Tysons is!
Here are some of the things we’re most excited about for Tysons and the surrounding area in 2019.
The Boros opening
We’ve been buzzing about the Boros for awhile now, including the announcement that Whole Foods is moving its flagship store there. In 2019 the long wait will finally be over. We can’t wait to start enjoying this new development of restaurants, retail, and living spaces as the anchor stores are scheduled to open in summer 2019.
Amazon Virginia HQ development
News of Amazon choosing Northern Virginia as the location of one of their two new headquarters had us buzzing in November. In 2019, we’re looking forward to learning more about the full economic impact this development will have on Tysons and the entire Northern Virginia area.
We’ve reported already on the KPMG expansion and how it’s expected to bring another 500 jobs to the area. This is an exciting development because it means even more people will be able to work and live in Tysons, making it an even more robust place for the rest of us who already live and work here.
As 2018 closes and 2019 begins we’re committed to bringing you the latest news from Tysons and the surrounding area. If you haven’t already, sign up for our TysonsBuzz newsletter so you never miss a thing!
